Lemon Tree Died

Ok, it's official, the lemon tree has died. I left it out this winter in hopes that it might survive and be a super hardy lemon tree. It didn't happen but I don't feel too bad about it. I was out and about today and saw a citrus tree that had to be fifteen years old or more. The trunk was thick and had many branches. It was dead. The frost probably hit it pretty hard this last winter as it did a lot of trees in the area. Good news... The kaffir lime tree lives! Of course I kept it inside and under a grow light with plenty of water and babying but I really really like it.

  3. Jacob, It’s another wonderful rainy Spring day, so I’m taking time to look over the Blogs I follow. Wanted to see what you have been up to. I have to keep al my tropical plants inside if I have any hope of keeping them alive during our Winters here at Lake Michigan. But I must say some of them are getting way too big like the White Bird of Paradise. Wish I could find someone to take it from me. It now stands 10ft. tall and 8ft. wide. Takes up a fourth of my living room. check in again soon. Jack

  4. So sorry to hear that. I think Citrus family can not stand against 0 or minus 0 degree centigrade.
